DIDIHOOD ~ Issue 10
Goodbye 2018! It's been a big year for us...
We officially launched with a huge party in Toronto.
We did a panel on diversity in media with bad ass brown women making moves in their industries.
Launched in the west coast and met our Vancouver Didis.
And took it back to where it all began at Ryerson University to host a workshop on freelancing.
We'd like to thank everyone for all of your support this year, without you, we don't think this movement could have reached what it has all in one year! WE LOVE YOU!
THINGS WE LOVED THIS YEAR
Seeing some of the other amazing initiatives supporting the South Asian community and women like SOCH, Womxn Offering Wisdom, and Tamil Women Rising!
South Asian women making moves in media. Radhika Jones was named Editor-In-Chief of Vanity Fair, Vivek Shraya released her best-selling book, "I'm Afraid of Men" and Canadian actress Parveen Kaur is starring in Manifest, just to name a few.
And we would be lying if we didn't say we haven't been obsessed with everything #DeepVeer and #Nickyanka!
WHAT'S NEXT
Expect more events in Toronto and Vancouver and the start of our mentorship program!
See you in 2019, Didis!
